Sensory Inspiration

My elbows on the wood of a table

Coffee in hand and AirPods in

Slow R&B sounds like a good idea

Pulling out pencils, markers, and a pen

The close to creak of my Macbook when I open it

The keyboard taunting me to tap and type

I sketch and note of ideas flowing past

I pick off the branch the one most ripe

It's the sounds of life that inspire me most

The tap of the keys on my keyboard

The gulp as I drink a sip of caffein

The sounds of a cafe coexisting in one accord

Isolation makes me feel free

I need not wind or sun on my cheaks

All I need are my ears to hear

My eyes don't mean anything to my inspiration's peak

The sounds of sensations of inspirations
