Seeing You

Tue, 12/10/2013 - 20:57 -- Madam

A Saturday night gathering

walking into their mutual friend’s house,

They smile at each other,

say hello,

like nothing is weird,

or out of place.

The night continues,

with laughs and fun,

and no one suspects a thing.

I was holding it all in;

I was putting up a front,

so I didn’t seem like I miss him.

He appeared to be okay

with us just being friends,

which made me melancholy,

as if I wasn’t already.

I couldn’t handle it

if I knew you had moved on so quickly

when I haven’t even begun.
