See What I See

Why do we listen to ones who don't care,

Ones that don't know the meaning of fair?

Why can't we decide on what we want to be,

Instead of being the 'perfect' children that they see?

Are we allowed to choose what we will do,

Or are we just part of their faculty crew?

Do we ever get choices that we can make,

Or just force that smiles that are obviously fake?

When will we ever stop caring what they want,

Or will they decide our next essay font?

Will we ever push aside what they think?

Because, life goes by faster than one could blink.

Why should we spend our lives going with the crowd,

When all we want is to be loud?

Why should we push our brains to see what they see,

Can't we decide who we want to be?
