Proverbs 20:27 New English Translation

27 The human spirit is like the lamp of the Lord,

searching all his innermost parts.

Search and … A

My spirit where are you? Why do you hide from me?

I have walls of noise in motion, so I won’t hear your voice

My will, my mind, and emotion are shielding me from you

Oh! If I was a child again, I would not have to make a choice

I would accept you wholly and have no second thoughts

Life would be uncomplicated and Life Himself would bloom

But I had to grow up so quickly, I remember I could not wait

And look at me now, polluted, living in a deeper sense of gloom

You stated that: “To enter heaven”, you have to be like a little child

I liked to reason, that to know maturity comes through an experience

I can’t accept the way I’m made, that experience is like a new-born baby

Who just received the breath of life and the inheritance of endearment?

As we grow up, and as we know, we are un-experiencing God

And the older that we get, the more we seem to un-reason the Lord

Oh! Brother, does that make any sense, which in faith we long forgot?

Not that we lost awareness, but our eyesight seems self-imposed and gored
