Sea Foam Symphony

Do you see them?

A shadow of what once was

Drifting in on the tide

Settling into the sleepy sea foam

A head of a horse

A tail of a fish

Colored like stained glass

And swift as falling stars

Can you see them move in the sea?

Can you hear their cry?

It is carried on the wind

And resting beneath our dreams

Hippocampus

Horse of the sea

Servant of the gods

Guide of rough waters

Once tamed, now gone

A deep sea mystery

Sought after by scientists

But as elusive as our trust

Legends sing of their hiding

Their desired seclusion from humanity

They will soon fade from memories

And be little more than stories

Do you see them?

A shadow of what once was

Drifting in on the tide

Our past, our destroyed secrets
