The Scholarship Blues

Apply!  They say, every single day!

You applyed for six?  Here are ten more due in two days so don't delay.

With school and work and collge stuff too,

My brains are starting to feel tired and blue.

I apply for hundreds, and I don't get one!

This whole scholarship thing isn't really fun.

Name, birthdate, address, the same old song,

GOD why are these applications so long?!?

Apply!  Apply!  My parents cry!

Oh, what can I do?  I must comply.

Whoever decided on college's price, I despise thee.

Tuition is rising, as everyone can see.

Meanwhile more applications are shoved down my throat!

Oh lord, anymore and you might see me croak!

Scholarships, oh scholarships, you give me the blues.

From the top of my head to the toes of my shoes!
