Scared

Location

Scared of being judged by the wandering eyes.

Society preaches the importance of diversity.

Why do people feel the need to live a life of lies?

Unaccepting glances create adversity.

Ripping the innocence away,

People have to put on a perfect front.

No one is supposed to sway

But the weight of it all is blunt.

Crushing, cracking, destroying their souls.

No mercy is present.

We attack each other with polls.

So no blame can be put on the peasants.

Behind the key boards are evil smirks.

Ruining lives with every letter typed.

Those words haunt and lurk,

Words leaving pain that is striped.

Stop hiding behind the curtain,

Think of others for certain.
