and the ones we don't

a reflection of what is inside

imperfection

will you face it

the features that make you unique

will the deception of others cause you to

sink

like water droplets falling down the drain

all you do is complain

why can't you see

all the beauty that still remains

they want to see you frown

the insecure will fight to see your whole world turn upside down

when will you show them who wears the crown

friendly faces become foes

and that is just how it goes

mirrors are a waste of time

they don't show all that makes you divine

your eyes can't scream

"me!"

loving yourself is not a crime

tragedy lies in those that become trapped in their own mind

how hard is it to be kind

the truth is you can't rely on words spoken from someone's mouth

all you can do is say them for yourself

acceptance

as a people we need to love one another

be strong alone

yet stand together

love is more than a four letter word

it is a movement

there is no time for self pity

and no time for silence

faces

it is not only about what you see

it's about listening

raising your voice

putting one foot in front of the other

feeling passion in your heart and soul

we all have faces

all different

all aesthetic

behind each face there is a heart

beating the same as yours

and a wondrous story to be shared

let's face it

no matter how much darkness and hate are present in this world

there is overpowering light and compassion

no amount of division will change the fact

we are one

it is time to step up and do what is right for our world and the people in it

change is staring at you in the

face
