Sadness
It creeps in like a fog
blanketing the sky in pale gray
Slowly it seeps into the lungs
a lethargic poison, aging the bones
It tunes the heart’s metronome indifferently
dragging the silence in between like dead weight
growing heavier, and heavier
And heavier
