Rise above the hills

Rise above when you fall below.

Pain will come, but choose to grow.

My heart cries out to the ones I love the most, but still

No one comes when its my chance to rise.

I am her baby girl, I even have her eyes.

Stand above the hills a stranger's voice once said.

The Great I Am, carries me through all my dread.

He will sustain me when no one else can.

Giving me strength, when she can't.

My poem is about my mother. How when I was little she was not around all the time.

She claimed to be working, but I know she was out doing other things as well.

I was just starting my sixth grade year when I was told at some strangers house that

she'll be back, but she never came. We still live with this lady named Ms. Brenda.

Im in High School now in 11th grade. My mom does not come see us or nothing.

Therefore, god told me he had a plan, and promised me he will always have my back.

So I keep my head up and keep moving.
