Return

Fri, 06/17/2016 - 22:33 -- Theuguu

Your combat boots,
The roots of our future,
They say it's too early,
But for us we'll never know,
Yea, I guess I'm too young,
But if you ask I'll say yes,
Two months, four, and six now,
No matter how long, I'll wait,
They think I live a normal life,
But the civies don't understand,
When your other half is a sixty-eight whiskey,
You're always on edge,
"But you're barley eighteen",
No one can understand,
As what it seems to be,
A brink of a new war,
The news becomes your best friend,
And the post office too,
People won't know how strong,
You have to be for him,
From California to Ukraine,
It will rain,
For you must sustain your life,
And your comrades lives,
I'll see you in December,
Remember,
"We are never alone as long as we have each other."
