Remembered Dream

I smelled our lips together
One last time.
My mind drank your taste.
Each taste bud remembered you.
My mind saved you for one last kiss.
Together our lips
were a soothing ocean.
Parts of our lips waves.
Pushing and pulling.
Supporting each other.
I tape my mouth shut.
Hoping that your flavor would stay.

You seeped down into me.
Fed my body.
Made me live.
The memory of you spread throughout me.
Gave me energy to grow.

Then the crash came.
The memory of you left.
I remembered that our ocean
isn't real.
