Refresh, Begin Again

I fractured my sense of hope

And my vision is disarranged

Blurred with shattered reflections

Where it ends, where it starts, it’s all overlapped and undefined

Fighting the hold, but then holding on tighter

Discontent and contradicting

Every word running through my mind aches and stings

Carrying constant dread and dragging along

I stumble and I fall

Some bones crushed, but I stand tall again, refresh

I can’t be trapped to one perspective

I take the glass fragments

And search for the rays of light they capture

Not restricting myself trying to repair what I lost

Rather, resolved to stretch out and feel the sun

Welcoming brightness in any shape or form
