Reflection

look in the mirror

can't help but see someone

who feels such terror

they'll be loved by no one

study my reflection

I find nothing attractive

crooked complexion

insecurity holds me captive

with trembling hands

and quivering lips

I trace the curves and bends

of a face with hardships

acceptance I'll feign

that I tolerate my looks

no beauty and no vain

in my books
