Location

I never thought I’d amount to much,

Not to my parents, not to my family,

Not to any of the people who cared.

Life had no purpose, no meaning,

Until that day came.

When the man across the street

Confined in me a gift, the gift of a friend.

My meaning then was clear,

I’d make something of my life.

I’d show the world what I could do.

With my friend by my side

We journeyed across the great land.

With each challenge along the way,

We faced them with courage and heart.

I only wish my parents could see me now.

See how I’ve climbed to the top,

Defeated the best and even the elite.

And now I stay here,

Alone on this snowy peak,

Waiting, waiting for a challenger.

I only communicate with my dearest,

Beloved creatures.

So if you dare to take my place,

If you dare to come to my domain,

Past the best

Past the elite

I’m here, waiting for you.

For this is my calling,

And all my life’s work.
