Rebirth

It comes again, it comes again

A candle fading in the wind

But I know I will rise and when

The evening’s here, I’m flying

I spread my wings, I’m listening

To rambles, other senseless things

The gusts I know are bustling

My soul is weightless, hovering

Pulse unclear, I’m unaware

Direction has no purpose here

Life beating in my ears

Catch me now, old fright

Firework, ignite my heart

Blown to pieces, end to start

Toward the ground, a flaming dart

The Phoenix, born again
