The Reason I Sin

Location

Sometimes I care so much it hurts

So I hide behind indifference for anesthesia

I'm running from my inner demons

It’s easier to use my sins as temporary amnesia

I wear my Scarlett letter like a mask

But oh I wear it so well

They say I’m like Lucifer

But wasn’t he an angel in hell

I’m neither fallen nor damned

I’m not a sinner, not yet a saint

I just cover the heart on my sleeve

And now I wear temptation like face paint
