Realization

Realization

Strolling down the unfamiliar

Streets of Beverly

My family on our way

To the car

I am not to leave in

Hugs, goodbye’s, love you’s

We’re going to be late

I mean

I am going to be late

This is my journey

Freshman orientation

Starts in two minutes

I should be in a seat by now

My feet start walking

Towards the college building

My family is watching me

Together standing still

As I am on my way

All by myself

Completely alone

I must make my own decisions

Take care of myself

Be independent

Be strong

Be my own leader
