Rapunzel, Rapunzel

I scaled the stone wall,

Green moss hugged the edges.

It would be impossible to climb.

I looked up to the window,

And there was a flash of golden hair.

There she was,

I've never seen anyone so fair.

"Rapunzel, Rapunzel!"

She came to look down upon me,

On her face, a glimmering smile.

"You've come for me!"

Her eyes lit up with delight.

I stood there,

Dumb founded.

"But my dear, how am I to reach you?"

My question was answered,

When she threw her shimmering locks down to me.

Feet of smooth,

Srong hair.

I grabbed hold and started climbing.

When I reached the top,

I pulled myself through the window.

Her soft lips curled at the edges,

As she grinned at me.

"I've brought you the key,"

I gasped as I motioned towards the locked door.

We left together that day.

And I was able to make her my queen.
