Race for A Cure

Location

For the past three years I’ve found myself here

Surrounded by my family, the ones I hold near

Today I am as strong as I will ever be

As I walk side by side with people suffering like me

The cancer lies within my breast but not my heart

To win the battle I’ll have to be smart

This shirt I have on is pink

Showing that I am a ship that refused to sink

I race for the future of life

I race for ways to end this strife

People have gathered from far and wide

To prove that there is nothing we haven’t tried

Together we will bring our toes to the line

And hope a cure will come in time.
