R e f l e c t i o n

Sometimes I muse on

the things I could've done differently

the fair to middling circumstances

I could've prevented.

the little big lies.

the definite maybe's.

Clear misunderstandings.

Change.

it all happens within.

A concept most argue

one is not control of.

Yet in reality,

that is something you are in most control of.

Only you can dictate

whether or not

you stand firm in who you are.

Or whether or not

you look back on who you were.

And at a reflection

of what you've become.

A choice:

to welcome or reject

the change.

In Sanctity or Remorse

we learn to move forward

and beyond.

in acceptance

that what we've endured

has shaped us.

Molded us,

into who we were,

and who we are.

Let Him above me

guide and protect

this naive heart

and growing soul.
