The Quiet Girl

Mon, 12/21/2015 - 20:51 -- chang_

The quiet girl in the back of the class

looking through the glass.

No one knows much about who she is

they only know of the silence she gives.

They don’t see what’s truly inside,

for they do not care to seek for what she hides.

She’s probably sitting there hoping she won’t get called on,

her heart beating fast, she’s almost gone.

She’s holding the answer right in her hands,

but she steps back, silenced by society’s commands.

The quiet girl in the back of the class

she’s still looking through the glass
