Pushed around

Pushed off

Pushed away

Pushed by school

Pushed by friends

Pushed by family

even pushed by me.

I pushed what I wanted,

pushed what I needed

to make sure everyone else was okay...

Until I met you.

Instead of pushing

you pulled

You pulled my attention

Pulled me into your dreams

Pulled me into your embrace

Pulled me up

and away from what was pushing me down.

You showed me what I wanted  needed.

not even any pulling

and instead

you stood beside me.
