The Problem With Unity

We need to find a leader,

But that’s not me.

We need someone who can reign us in.

But I don’t know who’ll that be.

I don’t want to take over it all,

But I don’t know what else to do.

There’s about fourteen of us,

And it’s caused a hullabaloo.

This is why I hate being part of a group,

Because they always pass the buck.

One person does it all or no one works,

This is why unity sucks.

If I wrote the poem on my own,

It’d be done in five minutes flat.

I’m not trying to brag,

But I’m not lying about that.

So what do I have to be thankful for?

In this group, I don’t know.

But I’m glad I put my headphones on,

So I can’t hear Cartwright crow.

This just isn’t going to work;

You can’t have unity when everyone talks.

You can’t have peace when no one agrees,

And I’m about ready to walk.

This poem is about:
Me
