So Kelsey began to think of solitude
Solitude, the quiet girl who looked lost
With her pale skin and washed out eyes
She moved without making a sound
Her lonely eyes looked into your vulnerable soul
And she smiles as she finds the one person to quench her thirst

Solitude's soul is fed through isolating yours
She makes you feel alone, desperate for friends
Her goal is to bring you into darkness
Where you wallow in your own pool of self-pity
She smiles, laughs, and rejoices
As her heart is filled and powered by your anguish

Solitude lives and flourishes in our loneliness
Feeding and drinking from our seclusion
Our withdrawal from the world is where she gains her power
Her house is in the middle of a dark lake where nothing grows
Surrounded by shadows she waits and ponders on how she can create a silence
This silence creates a place where she can build a foundation to isolate you

She does what she does because it makes her stronger
It makes her feel like she isn't alone
She gains a sense of companionship with those she brings into the depths of her wasteland
Her own emptiness is filled up only when she puts you in a sense of helplessness
She makes you alone in a world where it is dangerous to walk alone
She confines you in her prison, making you pay for her lonesomeness

Solitude is not completely alone in the world
She is accompanied by her family
The family she calls her own consists of death, hatred, fear, shame and despair
She uses their talents to break those she feeds off of
Her family gives her victims, people she can use until her hunger is suppressed
As far as friends go solitude has none, choosing to walk alone

The world sees solitude as a monster, something to run from
But running makes it worse; she will chase you to the ends of the earth
Sometimes all society can do is accept it and let her joy seep away
Your struggle against her is what feeds her and if you don’t struggle she leaves
Sometimes solitude is a good thing though, giving you time to think and change
As long as she doesn't grab your soul or your life you are safe from her
