Poor people struggle in bondage.

Poor people struggle in bondage.

Behind a wall

Where they can do no damage,

She holds her doll.

Both animals in a cage

In their eyes a fiery rage.

All turn a blind eye;

cannot hear them weep.

As they watch their people die,

the victors reap.

You will not help free the slaves.

You would not dare.

The silly pack of knaves,

Just don't care.

God save their souls;

The innocent who tried to be brave.

They now lie in endless rows of holes.

Upside down, in cold

Empty graves.
