At the Pool

Sat, 11/17/2012 - 20:57 -- swimref

I sit and look out on the deck of the still pool.
I hear the laughter and conversations of swimmers getting ready to warm up.
I see the nervous and excited swimmers jump into the cold water.
I see the coaches yelling at their swimmers to get a move on and warm-up.
I mark the way the nerves build up before the swimmer, swims their event.
I see the team cheers boasting spirits, and making this day memorable.
I observe the swimmers standing behind the blocks chatting but sthill paying attention so as to not miss their race.
I observe the breathtaking races that has everyone on their feet cheering for their teammates to win.
All these--all the excitement and anticipation building up in momentum, I sit and watch.
Watching. Listening.Hearing.
