Pointless

Fri, 12/06/2013 - 00:26 -- KThorn
It's pointless as far as I can see.

Once you had dreams of enlightening the minds of children.

But now that you step into reality

You see it was pointless to dream.

With laws and policy there is little you can do when children revolt.

You show your brokenness in your attendance and lost inspiration.

Like the rest of us you watch the clock tick by til your hour of freedom.

And when throwing us endless essays and test are not enough

You abuse us with your voice.

Telling us mistakes are sins and prove of mental stupidity

You're the reason our life is Hell.

The reason barely see a future beyond these prison walls.

If there is one to exist at all?

It's pointless, I'm afraid.

You're not a teacher but a babysitter.

As reflected in your paycheck courted by the Law.

For a moment I almost feel sorry for you.

You had dreams you wanted to achieve

To brighten the mind of tomorrows leaders.

Reality has never been kind as you verbally taught me.

It's pointless, don't you know?
