Poetry's Lessons

Thu, 04/26/2018 - 17:06 -- spyrkle

the sound of emptiness

as a period is ommitted,

the comma's slow pace -

the dash's quick burst.

the calmness of a line's end.

The boldness of caps,

the sweet softness of lowercase.

This words chimes

read at the right time.

Then inside a line,

a rhyme bides its time.

Playing with letters,

fumbling with synonyms,

expressing and learning to express.

Poetry teaches English best.
