Petrichor
So to say, your words clatter like thunder
Spellbound, my thoughts cannot gather
Swept up in the cresting tide
Displaced by another of likemind
In reflection of your overcast
Every droplet ripples, never seems to last
A vague pollutant spills into the clarity
While clouds break with long-awaited rarity
I lost the guiding light
In the thick stormy blight
Just as I reach the consoling shore
I am only reminded of your petrichor
