Petals Keep Her

Location

What to do? Where to go? There are great things here, but a huge part of her life is swimming on the coast of California…It’s like pulling petals off of a flower…so beautiful yet so scary to watch each petal fall to the floor…engulfing the bottom of what was to create what is now. The present. The future. There are so many different paths she could walk or even run. Her heart has always been pulled in two different directions. Does she flock to California to play hide and seek with her sister once more or does she gallop back to Salt Lake City to help rebuild her brothers and hold her father in her palm? How she wishes that she could simply do both. Indecisive in Colorado is where she lies…waiting…time passing slowly as another goal is achieved; awaiting for the next stepping stone to be discovered and wanted. Her love keeps her warm, her love keeps her motivated to keep her. Her love falls into the same dilemma, stuck in happiness in Colorado, with the future waiting ahead. She wishes her love would follow down those same paths. The last petal falls…
