The Patient Heart

A patient heart is well rewarded in time It understands the clock’s tick is a sign Each stroke a step to something so divine There are occasions we don’t fully understand A heart will break so it can learn to mend When life is truly ready, the good will descend Dreams will roll like the cloudy blue skies But the best for us will never be denied So put feelings of disappointment behind What isn’t given, simply isn’t meant to be The better things will come and never leave It may not make sense now, it is hard to conceive Someday bliss will overcome your mind All these troubles within will be left behind Your patient heart will search and it will find The future is still bright, don’t turn back home Look forward, dance and sing a cheerful tone The sweet reward is closer than you even know
