Passion is Not a Contest

Passion: a word that describes your desire to fulfill

Passion comes in different forms in different people

Some lust with a sexual passion, while others have a passion for food

But your passion is your own.

Your passion can be whatever you want it to be

Passion can be externalized, by completing actions that work towards your passion

Or it can be internalized, a feeling that doesn't have to be explained

But your passion is your own.

Nowadays, people feel like they can discredit your passion

The little kid next door has a passion for catching caterpillars

And here comes his big brother who thinks that catching butterflies is a hobby, not a passion

But that kid's passion is his own.

I have a passion for theatre, and you have a passion for education

Does that make me stupid?

I have a passion for chess, and you have a passion for weightlifting

Does that make me weak?

I have a passion for hunting, and you have a passion for make up

Does that make me ugly?

Why can you come along and judge my passion?

You think that what I love and desire is bullshit, not a passion

Passion is not a contest; there are no winners and no losers

Why?

Because your passion is your own.
