Passing(Bye)

A moment

A simple and needed moment

Altered by the handmade ideas we forced on our minds

I thought that you thought that I knew this was artificial

But we really wanted this real feeling

Something we could grab

Something we could put on the shelf

and every now and then pull down when we sought after comfort and assurance

Some solid understanding

That we could slip into our jacket pocket

When crossing paths

I bumped into the idea of you, the idea of us

I dropped it and it shattered

Shattered into tiny dreams

We would never get the chance to have

I recognized your smile

but it wasn't meant for me

You were just passing bye
