Painless Love

Sometimes it’s not the act that gets us.
It’s the reaction that hit us.
It’s the pain that we can’t explain.
Using solvents to erase our brains.
Going to and from not knowing which is which.
Smiling, falsely, trying to pass lies without a glitch.
It’s not the issue that’s unbearable,
It’s the pain that’s memorable.
It’s the heartbreak that is a shield.
Keeping your mind from roaming into free open fields.
It’s not the pain that shames us.
Its love that tames us.
Because we all forgot that love is never painless.
