The Outside vs. The Inside

The Outside The Inside

I smile So that they won’t see that I’m dying

I laugh I hope they won’t see through the chaff

I’m crying But the reason I am, ‘will be lying

They feel like my kin I’m scared to let go

I hug them Now I’d better let go

I love them   I need to let go!

“I’m afraid to get hurt again.” I’m honestly horror stricken

“Please, never abandon me.” They’ve already left me

“Why would you do this?” It’s ‘cause I’m simply a bitch

I stare down at my wrists

“Why would you do this?”
