Out of the Blue

In the depths of the morning sun

I sit here, thinking, wondering, asking myself

Will there be a day where we could no longer call each other strangers

You were there, my buddy in crime

Then out of the blue, you vanished

Sipping on a cold drink, I walk out in the streets we use to run through

Looking at kids play like how we use to

Do you ever even think of the times we laughted and cried together

Or the many times I helped you up

Things were said

Feelings were hurt

And I do want to say that I am sorry

I'm sorry that things didn't turn out the way that you wished

Out of the blue you called someone else 'Friend'

Why couldn't I remain that companion of yours

I wish you would of stayed with me

But out of the blue you left

Leaving me behind, wondering when you'd come back

My dear friend, I miss you

Come home safe one day, even out of the blue
