Or Not

Consistant abominations test my patience

from that sticky gum under a desk

to a woman who has wept

over the loss of one step.

That loss of one step the killer made

into the school

that fateful day

everyone's quiet

but the screams are clear

only a few of us will live through these tears

most will die, crying or not

in shock or not

young or not

and so the bullets come again

and my friends. they're struck dead again

over and over

every night

the woman cries,

because of the price.
