The One Who'll Love Us

I never needed to worry about falling

The edge just seemed so near

And I couldn’t see you standing

Your voice I couldn’t hear

But here you are coming again for me

I didn’t know you meant it when you said

That the only one you wanted was me

Afterall I had heard some things

But now that I know it seems too late

You tell me you could never ever

Leave me behind but you want

To move on and on and up and up

But it may not always include me

Am I being selfish in wanting the best

Don’t tell me to buck up, it’s life

Cause you’re one in seven billion

And I just don’t want to lose you

A child’s love is given full of trust

But we aren’t as giving are we?

We just walk along looking for ourselves

We love the one who will love us
