One small step

As kids, the line between real and pretend was hazy

We spent nights looking up at the sky

Imagining rocketships firing men into the stars

My dad would lift me up on his shoulders

So I could wave goodbye to the shuttle

I always wanted to be a part of it

I did my best in school, following my love for math

I can see it now, the job I've been waiting for

One giant leap for the kid at heart
