One Small Deed

When hearing the word Change

We sometimes think:

Masses of people in the streets

Moving mountains

Accomplishing great feats

“I’m just one person,” you say

“On this spinning ball in space”

But can’t you see with just one deed

You just might find your place

Buying bread for the beggar

Talk to the old woman at the park

Stop a bus for a stranger

You’ll still make a mark

We are bigger than we think

Making a difference has a range

A single dollar bill

Can make plenty of change
