One Hope

Sucked in,
Whirlwind,
Spinning round,
and round.

Going way too fast,
How long will this last?
Thought that it had passed,
Wish that I had asked,

What the cost would be.
Thought it was up to me.
It's getting hard to see,
What used to shine so clearly.

Didn't know the price I'd pay,
When I chose not to stay,
I chose to run away,
Is there an end to this day?

Thought it was just a game,
Thought I'd stay the same,
Can't believe I was so lame,
To think this would be tame.

Why didn't I remain?
Now all I feel is pain,
Can't wash away the stain,
What did I think I'd gain?

Now there's only One Hope for my life,
There's only One Chance to end this strife,
Only One Way to remove this knife,
And that's through Jesus Christ.
