Oh how the truth hurts
to find this out today.
What will my friends and my family
have to say about this.
The pain is quite unbearable,
to tell them this truth
will cause even more pain
than the cancer itself.

Six long, dreading months of fighting,
some days I just want to quit,
give up and not have my parents
suffer another cruel day
seeing me in this state.

No one looks at me the same,
as if I've vanished
already dead in their minds,
just dust in the wind.

So I feel it's my time
I couldn't fight it any longer.
I will finally feel free in heaven,
as the rest of life goes on.
Oh, how the truth hurts.
