Ode to Winter

Location

I’m cuddled up inside while visions

of hot chocolate and blankets

dance through my head.

Only because

Your bone chilling winds

have pushed me inside.

During the summer

I yearn

for the day you return

only to turn

my nose and cheeks bright red.

Soon enough it will be even cooler

to when flakes will hurry down

just to hit the ground

You’re so much better to me

than the skin boiling heat

Oh how I love you,

Winter.
