Notebooks

Permit me to tell you about notebooks,

Taunting, empty, clean, white space

But always running out of pages.

Thoughts that seem magnificent

Can look so very small on paper.

Yet my notebook is,

The safe place I can always come to,

No matter what the day has been,

To sweep up all my messy thoughts

And display them in my neatest print.
