Not enough time

I don't have enough time to put my heart in your hand

When you fingers are stretch wide letting it fall down like sand

Not enough time to chase after people who don't love me

In times of trouble i just don't see

Cheering in my face jeering behind my back

Coming to my house and eating all my snacks

I build your house with my foundations bricks

But in return all you give me are sticks

So you can light a match and set mine ablaze

Lead me to a garden trap me in a maze

Not enough time to give up my voice

to make myself more appealing i have a choice

Not enough time, not enough days, not enough nights

I have to hold onto life with all my might

not enough sunsets, not enough sunrises

no one knows when it is their turn to die

death lurks around every corner getting nearer

As time goes by my vision is only getting clearer

not enough time, not enough will, not enough steam

for people who I can only count on in my dreams

I have to hold onto life with all that i have

then maybe life won't seem so bad
