Not because I love you

I might tell you all my secrets,

but you don’t have to share your own.

We are in this together,

I can’t believe how much we’ve grown.

You won’t have to pick.

Between me and your friends, let’s all take a sip.

Drinks, parties and family reunions.

We have different lives.

We are different people,

Different people with different dreams.

I don’t own you, I won’t choose your clothes

I won’t choose your friends.

I won’t choose your car, your money or your ends.

Open communication is the key.

We don’t have to be suspicious.

I trust you, there will be no issue

We don’t need to be so vicious.

We won’t always agree, most of the times disagree.

I won’t beg, I won’t ask you to change.

I will love and respect you, I won’t be a strange.

Not because I love you, because you are great.
