Nostalgia

Location

He told her they’ll be together in the future

he told her he loves her

he wants her

and that this will never end

He told her all the things she wanted to hear

The sun setted perfectly

allowing the sun rays to beam across their skin

leaving them with a sun kissed glow

The state of ecstasy surrounded them

everything’s surreal

everything’s swell

everything’s the way it should be …

or should be

there’s a certain nostalgia here

but nostalgia is a seductive liar

so sentimental but yet so dangerous

allowing memories to become real

allowing past feelings and emotions to take over

in a place where time doesn’t matter

and where fantasies exist

unicorns and dragons

love and war

reality is a blur

making it harder and harder to resist

recollecting past experiences

and making them NOW

what is this?

Everything’s a memory

with string that tie to you

In my dream …

to the place that’s out of you (x2)

With all the thoughts

and the unconscious wonderings

it all traces back to him

her mind won’t let his smell, his smile, his eyes leave her side

she dreams of him

she hears his laugh

remembering memories of his hugs

its nostalgia

strings that tie to him

she can’t let him go

wishing to live the life in the eyes of her memories

its nothing but the life she onced lived

its the past

because …

Everything’s a memory

with string that tie to you

In my dream …

to the place that’s out of you (x2)

In her memories …

he told her they’ll be together in the future

he told her he loves her

he wants her

and that this will never end

he just told her all the things she wanted to hear

it was just a memory

get over it!

    Nostalgia, a bittersweet longing
