Nod and go my way

Mom yells, Sun blinds, Alarms been ringing

I get out of bed and wink the sleep from my eyes

Looking in the mirror as I shave off the wiskers

I brush my teeth and wash my face, let the dirt fall away

Face clean and the day is waiting

I nod and go on my way

Bus honks, Strangers scream, What do you say to the old cat lady?

Shoes get tied as the door gets slammed

Walking to work, I button my shirt

I sip on my coffee, letting the breeze take me away

Phone rings, officer says go

I nod and go on my way

Stars wake, Noise ends, The Weaver of Dreams has come to play

Bringing back the suicase full of the wages

Taxi comes as the night-lights get bright

Chewing on taffy, I say goodbye to the night

Say my prayers and sleep says hello

I nod and go on my way
