Nobody Knows There is a Cage

Nobody knows there is a cage, / That you have been shoved inside. / The reason that there is a haze / Is 'cause of the insecticide / It smells pretty so you eat the fruit / You're dead come morning, wasted youth / You're body's shoved inside a suit / Your parents claim they told the truth / It's too hard to love someone for who they really are / Everybody lies and sometimes we make up scars / We're trained to conform when nobody else cares / We're trained to stay silent and nobody else dares / Suits steal our youth, steal our hearts and minds to boot / Suits run our youth, we run our mouths, we tell the truth // Nobody knows there is a key / We've managed to smuggle inside / We cover our mouths with our sleeves / To ward off the insecticide / It's smells pretty but we know the truth / They're looking to destroy our youth / We refuse to wear your suit / Or eat of your toxic fruit
